In the early hours of Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, the life of 36-year-old Howard Michael Anderson, a Black male from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was tragically cut short by gun violence. The events leading to his death began to unfold at a residence on Pindell Avenue in Plainfield Township, a community near Comstock Park. It was here that an altercation occurred, resulting in Anderson being shot.
