On August 5, 2023, Stacy Mae Ramsey, a 38-year-old woman from Sturgis, Michigan, was tragically killed in a violent incident. At approximately 10:43 PM, police responded to reports of a woman possibly shot and struck by a vehicle near the intersection of South Centreville Road and South Street in Sturgis. Officers found Ramsey with an apparent gunshot wound, and she was being transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Unfortunately, Ramsey passed away en route to the hospital.
