On August 5, 2023, Jerry Longacre, a 61-year-old resident of Sturgis, Michigan, was tragically shot and killed at the Sweet Lake mobile home park. His death occurred amidst a violent weekend that also claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman named Stacey Mae Ramsey. Both victims were part of a double homicide investigation that began when police responded to reports of gunfire in the area.
