In the summer of 2023, the life of Chester King Tiggs III, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 20, 2023, in Flint, Michigan, Tiggs was a victim of gun violence. He was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. His death left a void in the lives of his family, including his children, mother, and sister, with whom he shared a close bond.
