In the fading hours of the year, on December 31, 2023, the life of 28-year-old Jacoby Ty'Quan Morris was tragically cut short in a drive-by shooting on Balsam Lane on the north side of Flint, Michigan. Morris, a Black/African American male, succumbed to his injuries on January 2, 2024, marking the city's first homicide of the new year. At the time of the incident, he was outside a home in the afternoon when the shooting occurred.
