On July 1, 2023, at approximately 8:49 p.m., a tragic incident occurred in Pylesville, Maryland, resulting in the deaths of Timothy Wayne Witherite, 62, and his husband, David Joseph Octavec, 70. The couple was found dead at the scene by patrol deputies assigned to the Northern Precinct of Harford County Sheriff's Office. Along with the two men, a family dog was also killed in the shooting.
