On September 5, 2023, shortly after midnight, a tragic incident occurred in Federalsburg, Maryland, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Caryn Faye Brown. Officers from the Federalsburg Police Department responded to a call and found Brown lying in the grass in front of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Gardens Court, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical service personnel from Caroline County pronounced Brown deceased at the scene.
