In the early morning hours of September 7, 2023, violence erupted on the streets of Baltimore, claiming the life of 38-year-old Daniel Taylor. At approximately 3:12 a.m., a Shot Spotter alert drew Western District patrol officers to the 1700 block of McKean Avenue. While canvassing the area, they discovered Taylor in the 1800 block of Presbury Street, suffering from what would later be determined to be both gunshot and stab wounds.
