On a tragic spring afternoon, the life of Shakeia Allen, a 27-year-old Black woman, was cut short in a brutal act of violence that unfolded in the parking lot of a Parkville, Maryland apartment complex on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Witnesses and a widely circulated video captured the horrifying moments as Allen was chased and then fatally shot multiple times.
