Ronnie A. Gumz, a 62-year-old White / Caucasian male from Colby, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 1, 2023. A relative discovered Ronnie and his older brother, Daniel Gumz, 65, deceased in their shared home. The Marathon County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and found both men with apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities investigating the deaths concluded that the incident was a presumed murder-suicide. A firearm was recovered at the residence.
Following autopsies and a thorough examination of the scene, investigators found no signs of foul play from an outside party or other contributing factors beyond the interaction between the two brothers. The case is considered solved as the primary suspect is deceased.

He was a storyteller with a fun-loving nature who deeply cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
