Flacco tried contacting her multiple times over the weekend, and when he received no response, he went to her house. He ultimately discovered Julie through a sliding door, where he saw her lying on the floor. Authorities later confirmed that she had been stabbed to death.
The investigation into Julie's murder revealed that she was likely killed sometime late on April 12 or early on April 13, shortly after she returned home. Despite conducting extensive interviews with friends, acquaintances, and analyzing forensic evidence, the case eventually went cold.
