On August 19, 2023, 21-year-old Victor Eros Basmirez was fatally shot near the intersection of Water and Highland Streets in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 2:41 a.m., and Basmirez was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to reports, Basmirez was shot during an attempted robbery. After being shot, he crashed his car and was found deceased inside the vehicle.
