In the quiet city of Muskogee, Oklahoma, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of Christopher Jerome Johnson, a 51-year-old Black / African American man. On the afternoon of Saturday, March 4, 2023, the tranquility of his apartment complex on North 6th Street was shattered by the sound of a single gunshot. Police were called to the scene shortly after 1:30 p.m. following a report of a shooting.
