In the early morning hours of July 30, 2023, Terrence McElwee, a 31-year-old male, was fatally shot in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 169 near 31st Street. McElwee was the passenger in a vehicle that was disabled on the highway when police arrived to find him deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. The male driver of the car had also been shot but was expected to survive his injuries.
