In the small community of El Reno, Oklahoma, a Halloween party took a tragic turn, ending the life of 20-year-old Justin Peyton Davidson. The young man, known to friends and family as Peyton, was attending the gathering on Saturday, October 28, 2023, when an altercation escalated into fatal violence. Witnesses reported that a conversation between Davidson and another individual grew heated, culminating in gunfire.
Davidson, a former standout football player for Quitman High School and
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, was shot multiple times in the head. His girlfriend, who was present at the scene, recounted that he collapsed in her arms after the shooting. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead later that day. His father shared that Davidson's heart beat for the last time at 7:57 p.m., a moment that forever changed his family's lives.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, law enforcement arrived at the scene and apprehended a suspect. Delsin Joshua Tsotigh, 21 years old, was arrested at the party and taken into custody. Tsotigh was subsequently booked into the Canadian County Jail.
