On a late spring day in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, a welfare check led to a grim discovery that shattered the peace of the small town. On May 31, 2024, Garvin County deputies arrived at a residence near Indian Meridian Road and East County Road 1680. Inside the home, they found the bodies of 62-year-old Danny Daniel and a woman, 39-year-old Destinie Wieck. Both had been shot to death.
The scene was further marred by the discovery of a dog that had also been fatally shot in the front yard of the mobile home.
The Garvin County Sheriff's Office immediately launched a double homicide investigation, calling in the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to unravel the tragic events. As news of the killings spread, a sense of unease settled over the community, while law enforcement worked to piece together the evidence. The suspects are expected to be extradited to Oklahoma to face charges of first-degree murder for the deaths of Daniel and Wieck, as well as animal cruelty.
