In the early hours of August 16, 2023, a tragic event unfolded on Fern Lane, just off Wynoochee Valley Road north of Montesano, Washington. A 911 call reported a conversation between two individuals, punctuated by the sound of gunshots. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of 45-year-old Erin Rae Lyons of Woodinville.
