In the late afternoon of November 5, 2023, a violent encounter on a Washington state highway tragically cut short the life of 18-year-old Dominick Demetry Hernandez, a Hispanic/Latino male from Moses Lake. What began as a drive north on State Route 17 ended in a hail of bullets that would leave one young man dead and another seriously injured. The incident unfolded when a black Dodge Charger pulled alongside the red Ford Focus Hernandez was driving.
