On April 15, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at the Promenade Apartments in Auburn, Washington, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Eydoel A. Negash. Auburn Police responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 5 a.m. at the apartment complex located at 12902 SE 312th St. Upon arrival, officers discovered Negash suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
First responders immediately performed lifesaving measures on Negash before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center in
Seattle. Despite their efforts, Negash was pronounced dead at the hospital. The King County Medical Examiner's Office later determined that Negash died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was officially classified as a homicide.
As of the latest reports, the Auburn Police Department has not made any arrests in connection with Negash's death. The department is actively investigating the incident and following up on leads. Kolby Crossley, a spokesperson for the Auburn Police Department, stated that they do not believe this was a random act of violence. However, no suspects have been taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation. The community has been left shaken by this act of violence, and law enforcement is working diligently to bring the perpetrator to justice.
