In the early hours of July 3, 2024, a domestic argument in Grandview, Washington, turned deadly, claiming the life of 45-year-old Hispanic/Latino male Mariano Garcia-Yanez of Richland. The fatal encounter unfolded around 2:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Bridgeview Road. Deputies from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Grandview police officers were dispatched to the residence after a woman called to report that her ex-boyfriend had shot her father during a dispute.
