On March 23, 2023, at approximately 8:09 p.m., Columbus police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 800 block of Danwood Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Ian Cousins suffering from a gunshot wound at a nearby gas station on Norton Road. Cousins was transported to Doctors Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after 8:30 p.m.
