On July 8, 2023, Gregory Allen Wells, a 20-year-old resident of Springfield, Ohio, was fatally shot in a violent incident that has drawn significant attention from law enforcement and the community. The shooting occurred on Rosewood Avenue, where police found Wells lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.
