On July 31, 2023, Ciera Webster, a 33-year-old woman from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed alongside her partner, Demarco Moorer, in what has been described as a double homicide. The incident occurred around midnight on Plum Creek Drive, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Webster pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight, while Moorer was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
