On October 20, 2023, at approximately 9 p.m., Cincinnati police responded to a reported shooting in the 700 block of David Street in the West End neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 39-year-old Terrell DaMonte Williams Jr. inside an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Hamilton County Coroner's Office later confirmed Williams' identity.
During the initial investigation, authorities detained a woman at the scene for questioning. She cooperated with investigators and was subsequently released without charges.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Williams' death. The Cincinnati Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and urges anyone with information to contact their Homicide Unit.
Born on March 16, 1984, in Cincinnati, Williams was remembered as a beloved member of his community. Funeral services were held on November 4, 2023, at the Church of the Resurrection, followed by interment at Spring Grove Cemetery.
