Todd Weiland, a 58-year-old resident of Newark, Ohio, was fatally shot late on December 28, 2023, in an incident that occurred in Licking Township. Emergency responders arrived at the scene on Jacksontown Road shortly before midnight and found Weiland suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention and CPR efforts by deputies and fire department personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
