Jacob James Derbin, a 23-year-old police officer from Euclid, Ohio, tragically lost his life in the line of duty on May 11, 2024. Officer Derbin, who had been with the Euclid Police Department for nine months, was responding to a disturbance call at a home on East 211th Street when he was ambushed by a gunman. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., and despite being rushed to a local hospital, Derbin succumbed to his injuries.
