On June 30, 2024, Robert Dean Lewis, a 67-year-old resident of McDermott, Ohio, was fatally shot in what authorities are investigating as a homicide. The incident occurred early in the morning at a residence on Euton Road. Emergency responders arrived shortly after a neighbor reported hearing gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Lewis lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
