On July 1, 2024, at approximately 7:33 a.m., Cincinnati police officers responded to reports of an unresponsive individual in a front yard near the intersection of Newbedford Avenue and Summit Road in the Roselawn neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Jawan Johnson with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
