Summary based on 9 sources
Aaron Myles was a 26-year-old Black man from Cincinnati, Ohio. On the evening of August 27, 2024, his life was cut short in the city’s Bond Hill neighborhood. Around 6:42 p.m., Cincinnati Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Garden Lane after a report of a person shot. They arrived to find Aaron inside his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Cincinnati Fire Department personnel immediately began life-saving measures at the scene. Aaron was then rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation into his death.

For nearly two months, the case remained without an arrest. Then, on October 17, 2024, police arrested 20-year-old Javione Bradford in connection with the killing. During a court appearance, an assistant prosecutor stated that Bradford had admitted to demanding cash and marijuana from Aaron. The prosecutor said Bradford fired shots as Aaron rolled up his car window. A judge set Bradford’s bond at $2.5 million.

The investigation soon led to a second suspect, 19-year-old Jahontae Mills. He was initially accused of obstructing justice for allegedly providing a false statement to detectives to hinder Bradford’s arrest. However, the case against him escalated significantly. On October 24, court documents showed that Mills had been indicted alongside Bradford on charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and aggravated robbery. Authorities alleged that both men had attempted to rob Aaron, an act that resulted in the fatal shooting.

As of October 2024, both Javione Bradford and Jahontae Mills were facing charges for their alleged roles in Aaron Myles’s death. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
