On November 11, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Dayton, Ohio, resulting in the death of 29-year-old De'ja Powers. The incident took place at the Desoto Bass Courts apartments, located in the 1700 block of West Stewart Street. Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered De'ja Powers and 24-year-old Antwan McCathron Jr.
