On November 11, 2024, 24-year-old Antwan Lavelle McCathron Jr. was fatally shot during an altercation at the Desoto Bass Courts apartments in Dayton, Ohio. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Stewart Street. McCathron was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Another victim, 29-year-old De’Ja Powers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
