On October 20, 1974, Edgar Estridge was fatally shot in Dayton, Ohio. The homicide occurred in Montgomery County, and the case remains unsolved to this day. The Dayton Police Department took up the investigation, but despite efforts, no suspects have been identified, and there have been no arrests linked to the incident.
