On September 6, 2023, 11-year-old Froylan Villegas tragically lost his life in a shooting incident near Isotopes Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. as Froylan and his family were leaving a baseball game. Froylan was in the front passenger seat of a white 2019 Dodge Crew Cab Limited Model pickup truck when at least 14 rounds were fired into the vehicle.
