On May 1, 2024, 32-year-old Isaac Granado was fatally shot in Artesia, New Mexico. The incident occurred on Champ Clarke Ave, where deputies heard gunshots and found Granado suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was immediately transported to Artesia General Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Following the shooting, Artesia police arrested a 14-year-old boy who was stopped in a vehicle fleeing the scene. The teenager was charged with second-degree murder, ...
