On May 15, 2024, David Castillo, a 54-year-old resident of Hobbs, New Mexico, was fatally shot in a tragic incident that also claimed the life of another man, Felipe Castillo, aged 52. The Hobbs Police Department received a call around 11:16 PM regarding a medical emergency at a residence located on the 600 block of North McKinley Street.
