On the evening of October 6, 2024, a violent encounter at the Jackson Creek Ranch northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada, resulted in the death of 23-year-old Rayvn Fairchild. The incident, which took place around 9:00 p.m., also left the homeowner, Will Delong, with serious injuries. According to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, the two men, who were not previously acquainted, were involved in an altercation that escalated to an exchange of gunfire.
