Quinntrail Young, 34, a Black/African American man, was shot during the early-morning hours of April 9, 2023, at a house near 1806 Russell Avenue North in Minneapolis, where a gathering had drawn many people. Police were called just before 4:30 a.m. and found him outside the home with gunshot wounds; he was taken to North Memorial, where he was pronounced dead at 5:00 a.m. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
