In the early hours of January 1, 2024, Christopher Story, 38, was found deceased from a gunshot wound in a third-floor apartment at Galena Estates Apartments, located near East 7th Street and State Line Road in Galena, Kansas. Officers from the Galena Police Department responded to the scene around 2:20 a.m. Upon arrival, they encountered a juvenile male sitting on the stairs, who informed them of the shooting.
