In the winter of 2023, the life of 19-year-old Danthony Johnson was abruptly cut short in a burst of violence that unfolded in a Shreveport, Louisiana, Goodwill store parking lot. On the afternoon of February 7th, Johnson was the victim of a drive-by shooting, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Ochsner LSU Health Medical Center, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead less than an hour after the attack.
