On February 12, 2024, 20-year-old Zavier Milligan of Ferriday, Louisiana, was fatally shot following an altercation at Adam's Grocery #2 on Louisiana Avenue. The incident occurred around 5:54 p.m., after which Milligan was transported by private vehicle to Trinity Medical Center.
