Fred McCray Jr., a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on June 23, 2019, in Ferriday, Louisiana. McCray, who was an esteemed educator at Morgantown Middle School in Natchez, Mississippi, had recently been named Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year.
