Haleei A. Newton, an 18-year-old recent graduate of Ruston High School, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Interstate 20 in Ruston, Louisiana, on May 25, 2024. Newton had graduated from Ruston High School just four days prior to her death, with her family present to celebrate her accomplishment.
