In the quiet town of Marksville, Louisiana, a beloved 76-year-old Caucasian woman, Nellie Whitstine Rousseau, was tragically killed on July 6, 2024. The Avoyelles Parish 911 Communication Center received a call reporting a homicide at approximately 2:05 PM. When Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at her home, they discovered that she had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
