On September 13, 2011, someone pulled a trigger multiple times, leaving behind the bodies of Carmen Mercedes Perez-Stolts and Ludwig Volksheimer and a Collier County crime mystery that remains unsolved.

The bodies of 81-year-old Perez-Stolts and her 71-year-old boyfriend Volksheimer were discovered inside the home they shared at 5770 Sea Grass Lane in Golden Gate on Sept. 13, 2011.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office’s efforts to track down their killer or killers continue.
