On a tragic Friday evening in early May 2024, a series of violent events unfolded across two counties in southern Kentucky, leaving a family shattered and a community in shock. Jennifer Wilson, a 57-year-old resident of Jamestown, found her life cut short in a sudden and brutal act of violence. Her own sister, Angela Gosser, 56, has been identified as the person responsible for her death.
The grim sequence of events began to come to light when law enforcement received a call for a welfare check on Jennifer Wilson after her family grew concerned when they were unable to contact her. Responding officers discovered a chilling scene on Hammond Road in Russell County. Jennifer was found deceased in the driver's seat of her Toyota Camry, which was partially off the roadway. The preliminary investigation revealed that she had sustained what appeared to be fatal gunshot wounds to the head. It is believed that Angela Gosser encountered her sister on the road, armed herself with a firearm, and fired multiple rounds into Jennifer's vehicle.
The violence did not end with Jennifer's death. Angela Gosser continued her rampage, next targeting her husband, 73-year-old Larry Gosser, in Pulaski County. He was found shot to death on his property. Following this, Angela drove to the Jamestown residence of her brother, Darryl Wilson, 58. She forced her way into his home, armed with a gun. An exchange of gunfire ensued between the siblings, resulting in Angela Gosser's death and leaving Darryl Wilson with critical injuries. Authorities have indicated that Darryl Wilson is not facing any charges in relation to his sister's death. Investigations into the motive behind Angela Gosser's violent actions are ongoing.
