In the early morning hours of July 10, 2024, a dispute in the Polly Hollow Road area of Avawam, Kentucky, escalated into a fatal encounter that claimed the life of 18-year-old Anthony Stidham. Another individual, Braxton Marlowe, also lost his life in the altercation. A third person was reported to have been injured during the incident.
Kentucky State Police investigated the double homicide and quickly made arrests. Treston Combs of Bulan and Emmaleigh Collins of Jeff were taken into custody in connection with the shooting deaths. Authorities allege that Combs was the one who fired the weapon that killed Stidham and Marlowe.
Following the shooting, Collins is accused of driving Combs to her residence. Investigators executed a search warrant at her home and reportedly discovered the alleged murder weapon concealed inside a drawer. Combs was subsequently charged with murder, attempted murder, and wanton endangerment. Collins is facing a charge of complicity to murder for her alleged role in the events following the shooting.
