In the quiet community of Bronston, Kentucky, a fatal encounter unfolded, leaving one man dead and another facing a murder charge. Myron Flanagan, a 42-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on Sunday, August 18, 2024. The incident occurred at an apartment complex located at 1760 Highway 90, where both Flanagan and the alleged shooter resided.
Law enforcement from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office responded to a call reporting a gunshot victim.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Myron Flanagan deceased near his own residence within the apartment complex. The investigation quickly pointed to a fellow resident of the same building, 50-year-old Kevin L. Jasgarszewski.
As deputies were securing the scene, Jasgarszewski was apprehended while attempting to flee in his vehicle. He was taken into custody without further incident. Subsequently, he was charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Jasgarszewski was then lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is being led by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division.
