On June 25, 2023, the body of Joshua Alexander, a 34-year-old resident of Roseburg, Oregon, was discovered near the Interstate 5 milepost 101 interchange, close to Canyonville in Douglas County. The Oregon State Police reported that Alexander had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
