On January 31, 2023, a deadly shooting occurred at a Dollar Tree store located at 999 North Montello Street in Brockton, Massachusetts. The incident resulted in the death of 38-year-old Dongbin Pyon, a resident of East Boston, who was working at the store at the time of the shooting. Pyon was shot along with another man, who was also an employee and was hospitalized with injuries. Both victims were rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where Pyon succumbed to his injuries.
