On July 4, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Raynham, Massachusetts, resulting in the deaths of 30-year-old Tatiana Tavares and 43-year-old Scott Swale of Easton. The incident was reported as an apparent murder-suicide.

Around 2 a.m., the Raynham Police Department received 911 calls from Tavares, who had been shot, and another tenant of the home located at 80 Ruth Ellen Road. Upon arrival, police found both Tavares and Swale dead in Tavares' bedroom.
